Marketing Campaign

The East Greenwich Community Festivals Charity was set up in August 2011 by a group of local residents who's  vision was to create an Olympic inspired legacy of greater community cohesion in East Greenwich, achieved through a festival programme of fun and celebratory events.

Their objective was to inspire individuals, community groups, local businesses and larger organisations to work together to deliver a diverse programme of summer events where the community could come together and have
some fun whilst at the same time, appreciate their environment, support local charities and small businesses as well as giving visitors a taste of life in eclectic East Greenwich.

The festival programme was devised and the main event was scheduled as a 1948 themed Fete, held in the East Greenwich Pleasaunce, to take place over the mid weekend of the London 2012 Olympic Games.  (1948 was the year the Olympic Games were last held in London).

At this point, Lorraine was asked to develop a marketing strategy to help the charity attract partners, funding and ultimately festival goers.

The East Greenwich Community Festival logo was designed and the Get involved! campaign was launched. An  online and offline media campaign was launched and to date, numerous partners have been successfully brought onboard and funding applications have been submitted.

Awaiting project completion.
